    Job Description

    Job Objective:
    As a Senior Design Engineer specializing in exterior and interior cabin trims, you will leverage your expertise to deliver innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective design solutions. You will contribute to the development and launch of advanced vehicle programs while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design of cabin-related exterior and interior trim components, including dashboards, doors, roof panels, bumpers, mirrors, seats, and other cabin elements.
    • Perform feasibility checks, DFMEA, and support CAE and crashworthiness validation studies.
    • Define design guidelines, standards, and best practices for cabin trims.
    • Review, approve, and mentor junior engineers’ design deliverables.
    • Coordinate with suppliers on tooling, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
    • Conduct and present design reviews to management and customers.
    • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards such as NFPA, FMVSS, ECE, and other applicable regulations.
    • Mentor and support the development of junior design engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.

    Academic Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong proficiency in CATIA or Siemens NX (Surfacing + Solid Modeling).
    • In-depth knowledge of materials, including plastics, composites, and sheet metal, along with joining techniques.
    • Solid understanding of ergonomics, NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), and safety standards.
    • Experience with DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and tolerance analysis.
    • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

    Experience:

    • 5–8 years of experience in cabin trim design (interior & exterior) for automotive or heavy vehicle applications.

    Key Competencies:

    • Innovative thinking with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
