Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, with at least 8-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or production environments. Experience in vehicle electrical systems (e.g., specialist vehicles, mobile units, or automotive wiring) is highly desirable.
JOB LOCATION : BASILDON , ESSEX
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery, control panels, and production lines.
- Carry out wiring, termination, and panel building work as needed.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and electrical standards.
- Support production with rapid electrical repairs to reduce downtime.
- Perform periodic inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment.
- Assist in electrical work related to specialist or vehicle-based installations (preferred).
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, control circuits, and motors.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or recognized international equivalent).
- ECS/CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with vehicle or mobile electrical systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
