Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead – Structural Steel Design to manage a team of designers and engineers engaged in structural steel detailing and design for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead project execution, ensure technical accuracy, maintain quality standards, and coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of structural steel designers and detailers.
Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to meet project schedules and deliverables.
Review and approve structural steel models, drawings, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
Provide technical guidance and resolve complex design or detailing issues.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, fabrication, and erection teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
5 years of experience in structural steel design and detailing.
Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Preferred

Experience working with fabrication and erection teams.
Experience in industrial plants, commercial buildings, or large-scale projects.
