    Job Description


    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards, providing a clear financial picture.
    • Manage and oversee the general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closing processes, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Conduct detailed tax planning and compliance, including the preparation and review of tax returns, optimizing tax strategies for clients or the company.
    • Perform internal audits to assess financial controls and identify areas for improvement, safeguarding assets and promoting operational efficiency.
    • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, offering insights into financial performance, trends, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
    • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting, helping to establish financial goals and monitor performance against those goals.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to clients or colleagues.
    • Manage and reconcile bank accounts and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and preventing errors or fraud.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients or internal stakeholders, providing excellent service and addressing their financial needs.
    • Supervise and train junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring the effective functioning of the accounting department.

    Desired Candidate Profile

    • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, laying a solid foundation for financial expertise.
    • Holds a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, demonstrating professional competence and adherence to ethical standards.
    • Exhibits 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, showcasing a proven track record of success in the field.
    • Experience within the financial services industry, with a focus on banking, finance, and insurance.
    • Expertise in relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
    • Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced functions to analyze and interpret financial data effectively.
    • Displays exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively identifying and resolving financial discrepancies.
    • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating complex financial information.
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data.
    • Shows a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
